CD Blinds use battery and 240v motorised rollers over 5 metres in width with facias, cassettes, ceiling boxes and fabric pelmets to conceal the roller blind and produce a sophisticated look, great for architects and designers.

We also supply chain, gear crank and spring loaded operation to our roller blind systems which gives options for all types of projects including schools, offices, care homes, hotels and residential.

Motorised roller blinds

CD Blinds supply and install automated, battery and even solar powered roller blinds. We can provide both mains supply and battery powered blinds.

For those who want to save money solar powered blinds are a great option. These not only reduce the amount of power you use, they are also environmentally friendly.

Large heavy duty roller blinds

Our bespoke made to measure heavy duty roller blinds are all specified using 40mm, 45mm, 61mm and 70mm aluminium roller tubes enabling us to manufacture, supply and install blinds up to 6m in width and 10m in drop.

Our blinds can be operated manually by chain or crank operation and we have the option of motorisation in battery or 240v using Somfy, Lutron or Yewdale Bridge motors.

We can offer a home or business automation set up controlling your shading from a tablet or phone using Luxone , Control 4 and Lutron home automation products.

GEAR/CRANK OPERATION

The Defiant R54 crank operated roller blind is our strongest manual control blind. Every component is built to cope, and built to last.The heavy-duty 53/60mm grooved aluminium barrel houses a compact but very strong gear control fixed to one of the brackets and is operated by a magnetic detachable crank handle. Tear Drop white aluminium bottom bar as standard.

The magnetic detachable crank handle means that the blind cannot be tampered with by unauthorised personnel and can be removed and stored if necessary. Ideal where a large blind size is required, or vandal-resistance is a priority.

BATTERY/ELECTRIC OPERATION

A small Somfy motor is integrated within your powered blind to provide a motorised raise and lower operation. With our roller blinds, the head of the motor is the only part visible once the blind is fully fabricated. With our romans, the motor is hidden from view within the blind headrail. We take the measurements you provide and set the motor to stop at an upper and lower position within the height specified. The preset upper and lower stopping positions can be easily adjusted once the blind is installed within your premises.

If this power option is selected, your Somfy motor is powered by a slim, elegant battery pack. Being battery powered means you don’t have to connect your blind to the mains power.

Their range of motors and controls permits a wide range of flexibility and reliable operation, whether its a single roller blind or 6 awnings working in unison we have the solutions at the touch of a button.

With internet-based Smart System from Somfy, you can even control all of the technology using your smartphone, PC, Laptop or Tablet – it’s extremely easy and user friendly. Products featuring io wireless technology can be integrated with very little effort. This means that all Somfy products can be controlled together with other building services using a single desktop on a smartphone, tablet or PC.

All of our roller blinds can be manufacture up to 5 meters wide, however with the very large blinds we recommend them to be motorised. Electric Roller Blinds are especially useful when heavy duty fabrics are specified or access to the blind for operation (high level) or just convenience is a consideration. Multiple electric roller blinds can be controlled from one switch, independently or all together.

Fully blackout roller blinds

Fully cassetted roller blinds are the best solution for when you need total blackout blinds. They come in an aluminium box that holds the roller blind – this is the cassette. Then there are side channels on the left and right hand sides for the special side runners to run down. To complete the blackout there is a bottom channel, or gutter, that the bottom bar of the blind sits in.

Roof and skylight roller blinds

Rooflight roller blinds can be designed and manufactured to fit virtually any size, shape, angle or age of window. With a wide choice of blind fabrics, every level of shading, through to full dim-out can be achieved.

SHY rooflight blinds are used in many high-end domestic situations. They are ideal when rooflights or skylights are used to provide much needed light but want to be able to control the amount of light and heat that could cause problems for the building and its occupants

When combined with the ZIP channel, the fabric is guided so it always retracts exactly square, every time so can be used on long thin rooflights whilst the fabric tension system (FTS) ensures that wide and/or long blinds operate without sagging or rippling.

Bi-fold door roller blinds

With bi-fold doors getting ever more popular CD blinds offer great shading solutions and sun protection with motorised and manual products.

We can supply and install for you bespoke made to measure roller blinds which can be powder coated to match the RAL colour of your doors and have a wide range of fabrics from screen to blackout FR fabrics.

We have the option of full or open fascia cassettes for your blind to be kept discreet when fully open and offer battery and 240v products which is ideal if the blinds are a last thought and no electric spurs are in place for 240v motors. Battery operated blinds are becoming ever more popular with long lasting battery life and easy and quick charging methods.
